Scriptwriting 101
Creative writing class, kids learn to turn ideas into movie scripts. (1hr Zoom/8 meetings)

Service Description
Students will learn the process of developing original story ideas into compelling movies. We'll learn about Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey / MonoMyth and how we can use it to build structure in our stories. We’ll watch and analyze clips from famous films as we brainstorm our individual ideas, develop “log-lines” into treatments, and then into finished scripts. We’ll create storyboards and shot lists to help visualize our scripts and get them ready to be produced and turned into finished films. Finally, we'll create an "elevator pitch" to see if we can get our movie made... (Many of the scripts we’ve made in this class were actually made into actual films in our MovieMaking Class!) Beginners welcome! Zoom 1hr, meets weekly 8 times, following the academic calendar ages 9-16

RELEASE FORM. I knowingly and willingly waive any and all rights or entitlements, including payments for my appearance or for the subsequent distribution of the the products related to this program.
